McDonough Serves on Study Committee
Visiting professor of law Larry McDonough is serving as an observer to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (ULC) study committee on a revision of the Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act. The committee was created to recommend to the ULC scope and program committee whether the 1972 Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act should be revised and updated. McDonough helped convince the study committee to unanimously agree to recommend that a drafting committee be formed to comprehensively revise the act. The study committee also recommended that the drafting committee have the ability to amend, revise, expand, and delete issues affecting the landlord-tenant relationship. A decision of the conference is pending.
