Somerville Team Awarded Research Grant

Dr. Karen Somerville, assistant professor in the School of Business, and her co-applicant, Dr. Mark Julien, associate professor in Brock University's business faculty have been awarded a research grant of $36,707. The one-year grant was awarded by the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Insight Development Grant - 2011 competition. The award of this research grant is a significant achievement in a highly competitive environment. Their research proposal, "Balancing Work-Family from an Aboriginal Perspective," will build on previous research undertaken by the two of them.
