Arlene Behling broke the school pole vault record for the second time this season as the Hamline University women’s track and field team hosted the final meet before the MIAC championships, the Meet of the UnSaintly, on Saturday afternoon.
Arlene Behling was third in the pole vault, clearing 3.45 meters (11-4 ¼), beating her own school record set earlier this season at 11-1 ¾.
Maria Theisen out-ran her seed time by nearly 10 seconds as she finished fourth in the 1500-meter run in 4:48.23. In the 8—0meter run, Kaitlyn Frenchick was fifth in 2:20.31.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Kameron Argiannis placed fourth in 15.57, more than a second faster than her seed time. Lynn Robohm was ninth in 16.53.
Christina Walker placed third in the 200-meter dash in 25.89.
In other field events, Argiannis had a strong performance in the long jump, placing third with a leap of 5.08 meters (16-8).
Becky Culp was fourth in the shot put with a toss of 12.57 meters (41-3).
Hamline’s next meet will be the MIAC championships at Gustavus Adolphus on Friday, May 13, and Saturday, May 14.
