Robin Wernberg hit an NCAA Automatic mark in the discus as the Pipers competed in Drake Alternative at Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday.
Wernberg had a strong day for the Pipers, placing second in the discus with an NCAA automatic throw of 46.01 meters (150-11). She also finished third in the hammer throw, throwing 46.43 meters (152-04).
Becky Culp also had a strong performance in the discus, she placed third with an NCAA provisional throw of 44.15 meters (144-10).
Brenna Coyle led the charge in the hammer throw, she placed first with an NCAA provisional throw of 50.59 meters (166-00). That throw improved her mark on the NCAA provisional list. Culp finished fifth with a throw of 42.58 meters (139-08).
Courtney O’Donnell finished eight in the shot put with a throw of 10.64 meters (34-11.25).
In the pole vault Arlene Behling vaulted to a fourth place finish with 3.31 meters (10-10.25).
Lynn Robohm placed fourth in the high jump with 1.50 meters (4-11) while Dani Vitali ran to a sixth place finish in the 400 meters hurdles in 1:14.61.
