Four members of the Hamline University track and field team opened competition on the 2010 indoor season as they competed at the University of Minnesota on Saturday afternoon.

A trio of throwers competed in the weight throw. Brenna Coyle (Jr., Lindstrom, Minn.) led the group with a sixth place finish with a throw of 15.99 meters (52-5 1/2).

Robyn Wernberg (Sr., Brainerd, Minn.) placed 12th with a throw of 14.12 meters (46-4), while Becky Culp (So., Lino Lakes, Minn.) was 18th with a toss of 12.62 meters (41-5).

Sprinter Christina Walker (So., Katy, Texas) competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing 18th in 27.57.

The Pipers will next compete on Friday, January 21, at Carleton College.
