Pipers have pair of close singles matches but drop sweep to Tommies

Despite a pair of close singles matches from David Croonquist and Sam Teitelbaum, the Hamline University men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 match to St. Thomas at Saint Paul Academy's courts on Saturday.

Croonquist lost at first singles in a super-breaker, 3-6, 7-5, 10-12 while Teitelbaum lost at fifth singles, 6-3, 1-6, 5-10.

Croonquist and Bernard Mitambo had a tough first doubles loss as well, falling 6-8.

Hamline is now 7-7, 2-3 MIAC and will play Saint John's on Wednesday, April 13.
