Gusties take second MIAC contest from Pipers

The Hamline University women's tennis team dropped their second MIAC contest of the year, falling on the road to Gustavus Adolphus, 9-0.

After dropping the three doubles matches, the Pipers had a pair of close matches at singles.

Carissa Wallerich (Fy., West Salem, Wis.) took her match at sixth singles to a third set super-breaker, falling 6-2, 3-6, 10-3.

Elizabeth Allen (Jr., Menesha, Wis.) played a close second set in her match at fourth singles, falling 0-6, 4-6.

Hamline is now 0-3, 0-2 MIAC. The Gusties are 2-2 overall.

The Pipers next play on Saturday, March 5, as they host Macalester at the Baseline Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota. The match is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
