Blazers sweep Pipers in MIAC match

In a match moved indoors due to poor weather, the Hamline University women's tennis team lost a 9-0 match to the College of Saint Benedict on Tuesday evening.

The Pipers lost a pair of 8-4 matches at first and second doubles to start the competition. Kelsey Eatherton and Nora McGraw paired up at first doubles while Nicole Krier and Kristen Kiemele played second at second doubles.

Eatherton had the closest match at singles, falling in a super-breaker, 3-6, 6-3, 6-10.

Hamline is now 2-13, 1-7 MIAC while the Blazers are 12-5, 7-2 MIAC. The Pipers next play on Wednesday, April 27, at UW-River Falls. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
