Endo Presents at AERA 2011

 

Rachel Endo, chair of teacher education, presented "Beyond Kodomo No Tame Ni: Japanese Immigrant Mothers on the Education of the New Second-Generation Japanese Americans" and "English Learners' Willingness to Communicate Within Authentic Contexts" (on behalf of Professor Chuang Wang and Professor Lan Quach Kolano at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte) at the American Educational Research Association's (AERA) 2011 Conference in New Orleans, LA April 8-13. Endo also chaired two sessions titled "Postcolonial Approaches with Students and Teachers" and "Research on the Education of Asian Pacific Americans." Finally, it was announced at the conference that Endo was elected as treasurer of the Research on the Education of Asian Pacific Americans SIG, where she will serve on the executive board through 2013.
