In the second game it was Concordia taking the early lead, scoring a run in the first on a pair of hits and a Piper error. The Cobbers then took a 3-0 lead through the top half of the third inning as they added two more runs on four hits.
As they did in the first game, Hamline used a lead-off hit to get their first round of scoring started. In the bottom of the third, Kristi Gravem knocked a double to left field and then advanced to third on a wild pitch.
Hine drew a walk, stole second, and then Tacheny singled in Gravem to get the Pipers on the scoreboard. After that, a ground out from Erin Farley, a Laura Randall single, and a double by Lori Moldan plated three more runners and gave Hamline a lead they would never relinquish.
The Pipers doubled their run total in the fourth as Heidi Larsen and Farley hit back-to-back homers. Larsen tallied three RBIs on her blast as Hine and Kara Poirier were on base.
Two more runs in the fifth put Hamline up by seven, 10-7. Then in the sixth, the Pipers loaded the bases for Moldan to hit a single through the left side to drive in the eighth run to end the game in six innings.
Tacheny threw a complete game for her second win of the day, striking out three. Larsen led with three RBIs while Moldan went 2-for-3 at the plate to drive in two runs.
