McKeag hits two NCAA provisional marks as the Pipers compete at Falcon Invite

McKeag had a big weekend for the Pipers, winning the shot put with a throw of 16.57 meters (54-04.5). He also finished third in the hammer throw, throwing 54.53 meters (178-11). Both throws improved his provisional marks on the NCAA list.

Andrew Schlicting also had a strong day in the hammer throw as he placed fourth with a throw of 52.83 meters (173-04).

On the track, Brendan Ruter recorded a sixth place finish in the 1500-meter run with his time of 4:06.89. Ellis Richardson placed ninth, running 4:08.17.

Andy Marnach led the Pipers with a fourth place finish in the 200-meter dash in 22.23. Christian Swnaberg followed closed behind with fifth place finish in 22.27.

Jack Deichert led the charge in the 5000-meters running to a first place finish in 15:12.40. Ian Campbell was fifth in 15:33.74 and Nate Dobbins was seventh in 15:46.86.

The Pipers are next in action this Friday at the St. Thomas Invite. Field events start at 4:00 pm and running events start at 4:30 pm.
