In the opener, a two-hit performance by the St. Olaf starter Ben Hughes led the Oles to the 8-0 victory. The Oles scattered four runs in the early innings, but put four on the board with two outs in the sixth.

Dan Ellefson took the loss on the mound for the Pipers, striking out one batter and walking one while going the distance for Hamline.

In the second game, Brett Bugielski picked up his third save in seven days as the Pipers pulled out the win in eight innings.

The Oles put a run on the board in the bottom of the second on an RBI single, and it would be the only scoring in the game until a two-run sixth by the Pipers.

After the first two Hamline batters hit into fly outs, Jordan Buck, Andy King, and Ben Richardson hit singles to load the bases. Moving from the mound to third base for game two, Ellefson drove in a pair of runs with a single to give the Pipers their first lead of the afternoon.

The Oles knotted it up in the bottom of the seventh with another RBI single, forcing extra innings.

In the top of the eighth, King drew the lead-off walk and was moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Richardson. He then scored what would ultimately be the game-winner on a double by J.D. Modrynski.

Cory Miller then singled and advanced to second on an error by the St. Olaf catcher that plated Modrynski. A final RBI single from Ryan Hackel put the Pipers up by three, 5-2.

In the bottom half of the frame, Bugielski came in to pitch, sitting down the three St. Olaf batters in order to earn his third save of the week.
