Pipers set two meet records in Border Battle

Branigan won the mile run over her teammate Jessica Kociscak (So., Anoka, Minn.) with a time of 5:16.31. Branigan's time was a meet record. Kociscak finished second in 5:28.59.

Drinane also set a meet record as she won the 5,000 meter run in 19:23.25.

Katelyn Anderson (So., White Bear Lake, Minn.) tallied three third place finishes in field events and added another third place finish on the track. Inthe 200 meter dash, she ran to third with a time of 28.67.

Then in the field events she was third in the pole vault at a height of 2.92 meters (9-7), long jump at 5.0 meters (16-5) and the triple jump with a leap of 10.49 meters (34-5).

Kameron Argiannis (So., Eden Prairie, Minn.) brought home two second place finishes, in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01.90 and in the 200 meter hurdles in 30.70.

The Pipers will next compete on Saturday, February 14, at Carleton College.
