Anderson wins two events as Pipers open at St. Olaf

Anderson ran a personal best time in the 200 meters, winning the event in 28.39. Her leap of 4.60 meters (15-1 1/4) won the long jump, and she brought home a second in the pole vault with a new school record of 3.07 meters (10-3/4).

Nicole Brohmer (Sr., La Crosse, Wis.) was the event winner in the 55-meter dash, sprinting to the finish in 7.64. Brohmer was also a member of the 1600-meter relay team that won with a time of 4:15.39.

Thrower Robyn Wernberg (So., Brainerd, Minn.) won the shot put with a toss of 11.32 meters (37-1 3/4). She also finished second in the weight throw at 11.4 meters (37-5). 

First-year Brenna Coyle (Fy., Chisago City, Minn.) had a strong debut appearance, winning the weight throw at 12.58 meters (41-3 1/4), and finishing third in the shot put at 10.39 meters (34-1 1/4).

Senior Emily Amici (Whitewater, Wis.) won the 55 meter hurdles in 10.02, while Kameron Argiannis (So., Eden Prairie, Minn.) was victorious in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:40.10.

The Pipers will compete on Saturday, February 7, at UW-Superior.
