McMoore heads Pipers past Blue Devils

Playing in chilly, rainy conditions throughout the game, the team remained tied at 0-0 as the clock ticked down towards the final ten minutes.

With about six minutes to play, Alleah Pac (Fy., Federal Way, Wash.) took a corner kick for the Pipers, serving the ball up into the box. It popped back out to her on the edge of the box, and she served it back up again to the far side of the net.

McMoore jumped up and solidly headed the ball past the Stout keeper for the only score of the game.

Piper sophomore keeper Liz Stock (Savage, Minn.) posted eight saves in her second straight shutout.

With the non-conference win, the Pipers move to 3-7-1, 0-4-1 MIAC. The Blue Devils fall to 3-9-0, 2-3-0 WIAC. Hamline returns to conference play with a 1:00 p.m. game on Saturday, October 10, at Saint Benedict.
