The Cobbers got on the board quickly, as Sam Johnson (Jr., Fargo, N.D.) scored her 14th goal of the season at 4:23. She added her 15th of the season at 51:59 in the second half.
Johnson's goals sandwiched a tally by Nikole Koehn (Fy., Fargo, N.D.) at 39:43.
Piper sophomore keeper Liz Stock (Eagan, Minn.) had eight saves in the game.
With the loss, the Pipers fall to 3-9-1, 0-4-1 MIAC and the Cobbers remain undefeated at 13-0-0, 8-0-0 MIAC. Hamline will travel to Saint Mary's on Saturday, October 17, at 1:00 p.m.
