Pipers take tenth, Branigan headed for nationals

Branigan finished sixth at the meet, crossing the line in 21:56.0.

Placing 42nd, and crossing the line second for the Pipers, was Rachel Glissmann (Sr., Omaha, Neb.) in 23:18.9. Placing 57th was Jessica Kociscak (Jr., Ramsey, Minn.) in 23:40.6.

Katie Drinane (Sr., Roseville, Minn.) placed 69th with a finish of 24:00.2. Right behind her in 70th was Sara Holland (So., Dousman, Wis.) in 24:00.6.

Lauren Howe (Jr., Siren, Wis.) was 82nd with a time of 24:11.8 while Rachel Simmer (Sr., Champlin Park, Minn.) placed 104th in 24:39.3.

Hamline posted 224 points in the meet. Carleton won the regional championship with 95 points.

Branigan will run in the NCAA Division III cross country national championships next Saturday, November 21, in Cleveland, Ohio. The race is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
