Pipers split matches in UW-Stout tournament

In the first match of the day, Hamline fell to UW-Stout by set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-19. Danielle Bennett-Curry (Fy., Minneapolis, Minn.) led the Pipers with seven kills, while Tasha Simmons (Sr., Eagan, Minn.) and Anna Murie (Jr., Grand Forks, N.D.) each had six.

The Pipers flipped the results in the second match, defeating the Royals by set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-18.

Simmons led with 19 kills in the match and Bennett-Curry added 10. Heidi Larsen (Jr., Andover, Minn.) had 13 digs and Jackie Kelly (Jr., Blaine, Minn.) added 37 assists.

The Pipers improve to 10-8 overall and remain at 0-4 with the non-conference split. They will continue non-conference play at Northwestern this Wednesday, October 7, at 7:00 p.m.
