Cobbers down traveling Pipers

The Pipers lost by set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-16.

Concordia got out to a 3-0 lead in the opening set and quickly built up a five-point lead at 10-5. They did the same to lead off the final two sets as well, never letting the Pipers back in each time.

Tasha Simmons (Sr., Eagan, Minn.) had six kills while Danielle Bennett-Curry (Fy., Minneapolis, Minn.) added five. Molly Schroeder (Jr., Buffalo, Minn.) had 14 digs and Heidi Larsen (Jr., Andover, Minn.) had 13 digs.

With the conference loss, the Pipers fall to 14-13, 2-8 MIAC. The Cobbers now sit at 13-8, 6-4 MIAC. Hamline returns home to Hutton Arena on Saturday, October 31, for a 3:00 p.m. match against Bethel to conclude the 2009 season.
