Weaver's lone hits surrendered in the first game came on harmless singles in the first and third innings.
The Pipers put five runs on the board in both the third and fourth innings to shorten the opener to just five innings with the ten-run rule.
In the third, the Pipers scored their five runs on five hits, including a three-RBI double by Erin Farley (So., Saint Paul, Minn.) that scored Grace Weinreich (Sr., Wahkon, Minn.), Jourdan Ulrich (Sr., Apple Valley, Minn.) and Sophie Davidson (Jr., Saint Paul, Minn.).
Sarah Dittberner (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.) had the other two RBI on a single, scoring Brenna Healy (Jr., Mounds View, Minn.) and Farley.
Hamline duplicated the five run, five hit effort in the fourth. Weinreich had a two-RBI double that scored Heidi Larsen (So., Andover, Minn.) and Davidson to put the Pipers' lead at 7-0.
Farley then singled home Ulrich and Ashley Anderberg (Jr., Circle Pines, Minn.) hit a double to drive home Farley and Weinreich.
Davidson went 2-for-2 in the opener with the two runs scored while Farley had four RBI on a 2-for3 performance at the plate. Anderberg (2-for-3), Weinreich (1-for-3) and Dittberner (1-for-3) each had two RBI.
In the second game of the double-header, Hamline capitalized on two hits and a Wildcats error in the second to score the first two runs of the game. Davidson had an RBI single to score Anderberg, who had reached on the error during her at-bat. Kristi Gravem (So., Maplewood, Minn.) also scored on the throw.
The Pipers put a trio of runs on the board in the fourth to go up 5-0, and then added another solo tun in the sixth. St. Catherine's two runs came in the bottom of the sixth.
Davidson led the Pipers at the plate in game two, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.
The Pipers improve to 9-3, 2-0 MIAC with the pair of wins. They will host #2 St. Thomas tomorrow, Saturday, April 4, at 1:00 p.m. at Helen Meredith Field.
