Pipers post several event wins at St. Olaf

Clarence Suttle (So., Saint Paul, Minn.) started off the day for the Pipers by winning the 55-meter dash in 6.61.  Paris Richardson (Jr., Brooklyn Center, Minn.) was third in the same event in 6.76.

At longer distances, Tyson Molitor (So., Belgrade, Minn.) won the 600-meter run in 1:16.13, while Ellis Richardson (Fy., Shoreview, Minn.) won the mile run in 4:35.41.

In the field events, Devin Swanberg (Sr., Lindstrom, Minn.) won the high jump at 1.8 meters (5-10 3/4), while Dan Johnson (So., Granite Falls, Minn.) took first in the long jump [6.01 meters (19-8 3/4)]. Johnson also finished second in the triple jump [12.79 meters (41-11 1/2)].

Pipers finished one-two-three in the shot put, won by Derall King at 15.24 meters (50-0). Second place went to Blake Springman (So., Adrian, Minn.) with a put of 13.21 meters (43-4 1/4), and third went to Josh Blaschko (Fy., Lakeville, Minn.) at 13.11 meters (43-1/4).

The Pipers will compete on Saturday, February 7, at UW-Superior.
