Gusties score quickly to defeat Pipers

The Gusties wasted little time in getting to goal, scoring just 37 seconds after the whistle. They added their second goal 38 seconds before the end of the first half.

Gustavus' third goal came at 70:43 and the fourth at 80:21. En route to the four goals, the Gusties out-shot the Pipers 23-7. They also had seven corner kicks to the Pipers' one.

With the conference loss, the Pipers fall to 6-10-1, 2-6-1 MIAC. They will return home to Pat Paterson Field on Friday, October 30, to take on Macalester at 1:00 p.m. to conclude the 2009 season.
