USCHO.com honors three Piper hockey players

Berenguer, who was also named a first team All-American by the American Hockey Coaches Association, is one of the two defenseman on the USCHO.com west region first team.

The 6-2, 210-pound sophomore was Hamline’s leading scorer and the second leading scoring defenseman in the country. He tallied 39 points (14 goals, 25 assists) in 28 games. 

Christian is the goalie on the west region rookie team after recording a save percentage of .904 and a goals against average of 2.56 in his first season with Hamline.

Arrigoni is an honorable mention rookie team honoree after being fourth on the Pipers in scoring in 2008-09 with 29 points (12 goals, 17 assists). 

Hamline reached the MIAC championship game for the second consecutive season in 2008-09, posting a final record of 16-11-1, 9-7-0 MIAC.
