Pipers fall to Oles in non-conference opener

The Oles scored 46 seconds into the game, and that would be the only goal scored until the beginning of the third period.

At 1:13 in the third, Taylor Vichorek (Fy., Moose Lake, Minn.) scored his first collegiate goal on a pair of assists from Kelly Plude (Jr., Elk River, Minn.) and Brian Arrigoni (So., Saint Paul, Minn.).

St. Olaf put two more goals on the board in the final period, however, at 5:59 and 19:09. All of the goals scored in the game were even-strength.

The loss starts the Pipers at 0-1 overall. They will play Concordia on Sunday, November 1, at the Bloomington Ice Gardens as the MIAC Showcase continues.
