VIDEO: Piper men capture MIAC cross country championship

For the Pipers, it was their first conference championship since the 2005 season and second since 1977.

The Pipers placed two runners in the top ten, as Ian Bauer (Sr., Roseville, Minn.) ran to a second place finish in 25:55.1. Devin Monson (So., Thompson, N.D.) ran to a sixth place finish in 26:11.5.

Helping put the Pipers on top were Jamison Hull (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.) in 15th with a time of 26:48.4. Ellis Richardson (So., Shoreview, Minn.) ran a 26:53.8 to come across the line in 18th while Andy Johnson (Jr., Andover, Minn.) ran to 20th in 26:54.8.

Rounding out the points places were Ian Campbell (Jr., Blooming Prairie, Minn.) in 28th and Colin Rogers (Fy., River Falls, Wis.) in 30th in 27:12.3 and 27:19.2, respectively.

The Pipers will host the non-scored Burning Spear Mile run at Klas Field on Friday, November 5, at 4:00 p.m. as they train for the Central Region Championships on Saturday, November 14, at Grinnell College (Iowa).
