2009 MIAC champion men's cross country team to be honored

The Pipers captured the 2009 MIAC championship on October 31st, earning their first conference title since 2005 and second since 1977.

Head coach Paul Schmaedeke was named the MIAC men's cross country coach of the year for the team's performance at the meet.

The team went on to finish fourth at regionals and 23rd at nationals. Senior co-captain Ian Bauer (Roseville, Minn.) finished as an All-American.

The ceremony will take place during halftime of the men's basketball game against St. Olaf. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
