Thrasher's opening three set the tone for the game, as with the exception of a brief 21-21 tie with six minutes left in the first half, Hamline led from start to finish.
A layup by Brandon Hayes (Sr., Bloomington, Minn.) just seconds before the end of the first half gave the Pipers a five-point lead (32-27) heading into the locker room.
The Pipers stayed ahead in the second half, going up by as many as 15, and maintaining the lead for the 11-point margin of victory.
Thrasher had six rebounds along with his 20 points. Eric Clute (So., Hawley, Minn.) added 11 points. Carl Hipp (So., Little Canada, Minn.) had eight points and six rebounds, while Hayes pulled down seven boards and dished out four assists. Stoddard Barnhill (Fy., Minneapolis, Minn.) added nine points for the visitors.
The Pipers improve to 8-13, 7-10 MIAC with their third straight win and fifth in their last six games.
