Queck, Broback earn MIAC weekly honor

The Pipers defeated Macalester on the road, 38-6, on Saturday.

Broback is the first back-to-back football athlete of the week winner in any of the three categories this season.

He had another great week for the Pipers' special teams, averaging 48 yards a punt on three punts of 61, 51, and 31 yards (total of 144 yards). He twice pinned the Scots inside the 20.

Queck was named the co-offensive player of the week after posting 197 receiving yards on just five catches, including TD catches of 80- and 30-yards. The 80-catch was the only play of that scoring drive, as the Pipers started on their own 20-yard line following a touchback. Queck now has two 80-yard TD receptions this season - the first came at Augsburg.

He also added 64 yards on kickoffs, with a long return of 33 yards. He tallied 261 all-purpose yards in the game.

The game puts him first in overall receiving yards amongst MIAC players, averaging 92.1 yards per game.

The Pipers are now 4-5, 2-5 MIAC and will close out the season on the road this Saturday, November 14. They will play a 1:00 p.m. game at St. Olaf.
