Coyle hit the NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the weight throw as the track and field team competed at Carleton on Friday night.

Coyle won the event with a throw of 52-11 (16.13 meters).

The honor is the first of Coyle's career.

The Pipers will next compete on Saturday, February 5, in the Border Battle at UW-Superior.
