Pipers sweep doubles en route to win over Edgewood

Anna Yarbrough (So., Minneapolis, Minn.) and Nora McGraw (Jr., Hutchinson, Minn.) paired up for an 8-4 win at first doubles while Kristen Kiemele (Jr., Eagan, Minn.) and Nicole Krier (So., Woodbury, Minn.) won 8-3 at second doubles.

Emily Workcuff (Sr., Lakeville, Minn.) and Elizabeth Allen (Fy., Menasha, Wis.) completed the sweep at doubles with an 8-5 win at third.

Yarbrough, Kiemele, Workcuff, and Allen all went on to win their singles matches for the team victory.

Yarbrough came back to win a third-set super-breaker after dropping the first set, 2-6, 6-2, 10-8, at first singles.

Kiemele's win at third singles came with a score of 6-3, 6-4, and Workcuff cruised at fifth singles, 6-2, 6-1. Allen also had an easy time with her sixth singles match, taking the 6-1, 6-3 win.

The Pipers are now 4-7 overall while Edgewood is 10-8 after the non-conference contest. Hamline will remain in Orlando to take on Sioux Falls tomorrow, Wednesday, March 31.
