Pipers drop season opener to #28 Knights

The Pipers played tough at doubles, with the closest match coming from Anna Yarbrough (So., Minneapolis, Minn.) and Emily Workcuff (Sr., Lakeville, Minn.). The duo dropped their match 7-9.

Kristen Kiemele (Jr., Eagan, Minn.) and Nicole Krier (So., Woodbury, Minn.) lost a 5-8 match at third doubles.

Workcuff played the closest match in singles, losing at sixth singles, 2-6, 4-6.

The Pipers start the season at 0-1, 0-1 MIAC while the Knights open at 1-0, 1-0 MIAC. Hamline will next host St. Scholastica on Sunday, February 8, at Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville.
