Hamline dropped just four games in doubles play, starting with Kelsey Eatherton (Jr., White Bear Lake, Minn.) and Nora McGraw (Jr., Hutchinson, Minn.) winning 8-1 win at first doubles. Kristen Kiemele (Jr., Eagan, Minn.) and Nicole Krier (So., Woodbury, Minn.) also had an 8-1 win at second doubles.
Emily Workcuff (Sr., Lakeville, Minn.) and Elizabeth Allen (Fy., Menasha, Wis.) posted an 8-2 victory at third doubles, taking the Pipers into singles play with a 3-0 match lead for the second straight day.
As the Pipers swept the singles matches, too, Eatherton posted a 6-0, 6-2 win at first singles. At second singles, McGraw won 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) and Kiemele won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles.
Krier played fourth singles, winning 6-1, 6-1, Workcuff won at fifth, 6-0, 6-1, and Allen won at sixth singles, 6-0, 6-0.
The Pipers improve to 3-2 overall with the win. They return to conference action on Saturday, February 27, hosting St. Thomas at Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville. The match is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.
