Punyko, Bailey post pair of wins at River Falls

The Pipers started off by winning the 200 yard medley relay race with a time of 1:59.55. The relay team consisted of Sam Fisher (Sr., South St. Paul, Minn.), Marreya Bailey (Sr., Brooklyn Park, Minn.), Renee Punyko (Sr., Duluth, Minn.), and Erinn Moriarty (Sr., Cottage Grove, Minn.).

Bailey went on to win the 50 free in 26.21. Tiffany Thanel (Fy., Moorhead, Minn.) finished third in 27.58. Bailey also had a win in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 56.94.

Punyko was victorious in the 200 yard individual medley, posting a time of 2:18.16. She also won the 100 fly, touching the wall in 1:03.08. Erin Weslander (So., St. Cloud, Minn.) was third in that event in 1:09.49 and was second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:18.52.

Hamline's 200 yard freestyle relay team finished off the evening with a second place finish in 1:54.49. The team consisted of Abby Ghylin (Fy., Lakeville, Minn.), Kryslyn Kalkbrenner (So., Eden Prairie, Minn.), Weslander, and Thanel.

The meet was the Pipers' final competition before the MIAC Championships on Thursday, February 18 - Saturday, February 20, at the University of Minnesota.
