Weslander leads Pipers with pair of top ten swims at Macalester

Ingrid Haugan (Fy., New Brighton, Minn.) dove in the 9:00 a.m. morning session, finishing ninth off of the one-meter board with 153.45 points and 11th on the three-meter board with 129.95 points.

The Piper 200-medley relay team was the first in the water in the afternoon session, finishing sixth in 2:12.34. The team consisted of Spencer Stanchfield (Fy., Wayzata, Minn.), Angela Lesnak (So., Chisholm, Minn.), Erin Weslander (Jr., St. Cloud, Minn.), and AJ Capaul (So., Mayer, Minn.).

Several Pipers swam in the 50-yard freestyle, with Stanchfield placing 20th in 28.46. Haugan was 30th in 30.07, Capaul was 35th in 30.48, and Lesnak was 39th in 31.15.

Stanchfield would go on to finish 26th in the 100-yard freestyle. In the 200-freestyle she was ninth in 2:14.67 while Capaul swam to a 15th place finish in 2:25.62.

In the 100-yard breaststroke, Weslander placed sixth with a time of 1:20.47, Lesnak was ninth in 1:23.13, and Capaul placed 11th with a finish of 1:25.16.

Weslander then placed sixth in the 200 IM, touching the wall in 2:34.01. She was 11th in the 100-butterfly in 1:11.44.

The Pipers next swim on Friday, December 3, as they host Saint Mary's in a dual meet at 5:00 p.m.
