Despite out-shooting the Cougars 12-1 (7-0 in shots on goal) in the first half, the Pipers weren't able to put a ball in the goal until just after the start of the second period of play.
Cooper, who had four goals in the Pipers' opening win over Crown, scored just three minutes after halftime for the only tally on the scoreboard. She took a pass from Alysse Eide (Fy., North Pole, Alaska) on the right side and put it in the back of the net at 48:10.
Liz Stock (Jr., Savage, Minn.) made six saves to earn her second win, and shutout, of the season.
Hamline is now 2-0 on the season with the non-conference win while Minnesota-Morris is 0-2. The Pipers return home to Pat Paterson Field to host UW-River Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8.
