The Blugolds scored their first goal at 10:56 of the first period on a power play. Late in the second period, they added three even-strength goals within two minutes.

UW-Eau Claire's goals at 15:25, 16:53, and 17:17 gave the Blugolds a 4-0 lead heading into the third.

The hosts added their fifth goal at 16:45 in the third.

The Pipers are now 2-6-3 overall with the non-conference loss while UW-Eau Claire is 6-5-1 overall.

Hamline will host St. Catherine next Saturday, January 8, in a non-conference contest. The game will be played at 7:00 p.m. at the Warner Coliseum.
