The Tommies scored a pair of even-strength goals at the end of the
first period and that was all of the scoring through the opening 40
minutes.
Haley Juricko (Fy., Eagan, Minn.) tallied the first goal at 18:08
from Lauren Mumm (Fy., Rogers, Minn.) and Greta Omann (Jr., Cold Spring,
Minn.). The second goal came with 29 seconds left in the period, at
19:31, from Kaylee Keys (Jr., Saint Paul, Minn.). The assists were
credited to Korinne O'Connor (So., New Ulm, Minn.) and Taylor Schluter
(Jr., Minnetonka, Minn.).
Alli Miller (Sr., Faribault, Minn.) made it a one-goal game at 8:23
in the third as she scored on an assist from Haley Johnson (So.,
Bemidji, Minn.).
That would be all the scoring in the game, however, as the Tommies skated off with the 2-1 win.
St. Thomas out-shot the Pipers 51-to-14 in the game, as Nicole Jones (Jr., Mora, Minn.) made 49 saves in net for the Pipers.
Hamline is now 2-9-3, 1-5-2 MIAC while St. Thomas is 7-5-2, 6-1-1
MIAC. The Pipers will next play at Augsburg on Friday, January 28,
at 7:00 p.m.
