The host Blazers took an eight-point lead, 10-2, at 16:21 The Pipers started to cut away at their deficit and trailed by just one, 14-13, at 12:01.
The teams traded leads in the final eight minutes of play, including a pair of five-point Piper advantages - 28-23 with 3:55 to play in the half and 30-25 with 3:13 left.
Saint Benedict took their final lead of the half with under a minute to play until the break, going ahead by two points on a try, 32-20. They led 34-30 as the teams headed to the locker room.
Klinck had seven points in the first half to lead the Pipers.
In the second half, Klinck drained a three at 15:45 to tie the game at 39-39. The Pipers went on to hold two brief one-point leads, but the Blazers took over in the final five minutes for the win.
In addition to Klinck's 21 points, Kara Poirier (Fy., Eau Claire, Wis.) added 12 points. Mary Wilkowski (Jr., Savannah, Ga.) had 11 rebounds.
The loss drops the Pipers to 5-7, 3-6 MIAC while the Blazers are now 10-2, 8-1 MIAC and sit atop the conference standings. Hamline will return to Hutton Arena to host St. Catherine University on Saturday, January 16, at 3:00 p.m.
