Five and a half scoreless innings of softball led to a one-run sixth inning for the Tommies. St. Thomas hit a lead-off double and ultimately scored the lone run of game on an error.
The Pipers had four hits in the game, led by Erin Farley (Jr., Saint Paul, Minn.) going 2-for-3 at the plate. Jessalyn Weaver (Sr., Eagan, Minn.) threw five innings and faced the lead-off batter in the sixth to take the loss for the Pipers.

The Pipers scored both of their runs in the top of the first to get the second game of the double-header started. Kelsey Tacheny (Jr., Saint Paul, Minn.) led off and reach first on an error after a strike out. Bethany Hine (Fy., Carver, Minn.) joined her on base after a single to center field. The pair was then driven home on a double by Heidi Larsen (Jr., Andover, Minn.).
St. Thomas did not score until the fifth, but they put three runs on the board in each of their final two at-bats for the 6-2 win.
Hine was 2-for-3 in the game while Larsen went 1-for-3 with the two RBI. Tacheny threw four and two-thirds innings in taking the loss for the Pipers.
Hamline drops to 10-12, 4-4 MIAC with the conference losses while the Tommies are now 22-6, 9-1 MIAC. The Pipers travel to Saint Benedict for a 1:00 p.m. double-header on Saturday, April 17.
