Game 1: Box score
HU 9 11 1
LSU 3 2 4
La Sierra jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning
as the hosts used two hits, including a two-run homer. The Pipers then
held the Golden Eagles hitless through the remainder of the game and the
three runs proved to be the only ones the Golden Eagles would score on
the day.
The Pipers bounced back with a pair of runs in the second on no hits, two errors, a walk, and a passed ball.
They then tied the score in the fourth on an RBI-single by starting pitcher Laura Dombrovski (Fy., Maple Lake, Minn.).
A run in the sixth gave them the go-ahead run, and an offensive
explosion for five runs on five hits and two La Sierra errors in the
seventh game them the 9-3 win.
Dombrovski went 3-for-4 at the plate with three RBI and a run scored
in the game while also picking up the win on the rubber. She threw five
innings, striking out five batters and surrendering just the two hits in
the opening inning.
Game 2: Box score

LSU 0 2 2
The Pipers and Eagles opened with a pair of scoreless innings in game
two of the double-header. Hamline then took a 2-0 lead with a run in
each of the next two innings. In both innings they needed two hits to
manufacture the runs and capitalized on a La Sierra error in the fourth.
The Pipers then put four on the board on five singles in the fifth to go ahead 6-0.
Ashley Anderberg (Sr., Circle Pines, Minn.) led off with a single and
then Erin Kastner (Fy., Faribault, Minn.) entered the game to pinch run
for the catcher. Kastner immediately stole second and then scored on a
Brenna Healy (Jr., Mounds View, Minn.) single.
Heidi Larsen (Jr., Andover, Minn.) hit the third single of the inning
and then Lori Moldan (So., Sleepy Eye, Minn.) hit the fourth for an RBI
that drove in Healy. A sacrifice fly from Nora Antil (Sr.,
Pflugerville, Texas) scored Larsen and Kristi Gravem (So., Maplewood,
Minn.) singled for the final RBI of the inning.
Hamline's seventh run came in the next inning on an RBI-double from Moldan.
Larsen was 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and two runs scored while Moldan was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI and a run scored.
Jessalyn Weaver (Sr., Eagan, Minn.) threw a complete game for the Pipers, striking out 10 batters and giving up just two hits.
