St. Thomas, filling the role of visitors on the scoreboard, put three runs on six hits and a Piper error on the board in the top of the first inning for the early lead. The Tommies then added another run in the fourth on a pair of hits and three more runs on four hits in the fifth.

The Pipers' lone run of the game came in the bottom of the sixth as Alleah Pac (Fy., Federal Way, Wash.) hit a single with one out, advanced to third on another single and a walk. She then scored as Jackie Brigl (Fy., Roseville, Minn.) earned the RBI while reaching on a fielder's choice.

The Pipers also took the spot as the home team on the scoreboard for the second non-conference contest of the day against an MIAC opponent.

The teams ended the second inning in a 2-2 tie after St. Olaf scored one run in each inning and the Pipers put a pair on the board in the bottom of the first.

With Brenna Healy (Sr., Mounds View, Minn.) on first base after hitting a single to left center, Brigl stepped up to the plate and hit her first homerun as a Piper.

After playing scoreless ball in the third and fourth innings, the Pipers used three hits and an Ole error to score a trio of runs in the fifth.

Kara Poirier (Fy., Eau Claire, Wis.) led off the inning by knocking a single down the left field line, followed by a single to center from Ashley Anderberg (Sr., Circle Pines, Minn.).

Bethany Hine (Fy., Carver, Minn.) reached on a fielder's choice that took out Poirier at third, but the bases were quickly loaded as Kristi Gravem (So., Maplewood, Minn.) drew a walk.

Weaver then drove in Anderberg and Hine with a double to center field and Gravem scored during the next at-bat on an Ole error.

The Pipers scored their sixth run in the sixth as Laura Randall (Fy., Fridley, Minn.) led off with a double and ultimately scored on a wild pitch.

Erin Kastner (Fy., Faribault, Minn.) went 2-for-4 at the plate while Anderberg was 2-for-2. Brigl and Weaver each went 1-for-1 at the plate with two RBI.

Weaver threw three innings in relief to pick up the win while striking out three batters.

The Pipers are now 4-4 overall while St. Olaf is 1-9. Hamline will play a double-header at La Sierra University on Wednesday, March 31.
