King, who has an All-American title to his credit from the shot put at the 2009 indoor championships, placed fifth with a throw of 18.54 meters (60-10).

Tomorrow, Saturday, March 13, King will compete in the shot put at 12:00 p.m. CT. The Piper 1600-meter relay of Andy Marnach (Sr., Hokah, Minn.), Tyson Molitor (Jr., Belgrade, Minn.), Brant Luehman (Sr., Amery, Wis.) and Brent Nelson (Sr., New London, Minn.) ends the meet at 3:40 p.m. CT.
