McKeag (So., Lakeville, Minn.) won the shot put competition at the Capitol City Championships by almost two meters with his NCAA provisional qualifying toss of 16.53 meters (54-2 3/4).

McKeag's distance is second best in the MIAC and 12th in Division III this season. He has now won the outdoor field athlete of the week honor two out of the four weeks this season.
