David Croonquist (Fy., North Oaks, Minn.) battled to a second set tie-breaker at first singles before falling 3-6, 6-7, while Robert Becker (So., Minnetonka, Minn.) took his second singles match to a third set super-breaker, 2-6, 6-3, 5-10.

At third singles, Bernard Mitambo (So., Minneapolis, Minn.) also went to a third set super-breaker, 6-4, 3-6, 8-10. Kyle Helgemoe (Jr., Lakeville, Minn.) dropped a fourth singles match in a pair of tie-breakers, 6-7, 6-7.

The Pipers drop to 5-5 overall with the non-conference loss while the Blugolds are now 17-2. They play Oberlin tomorrow, March 30, in Orlando.
