David Croonquist (Fy., North Oaks, Minn.) provided the lone Piper win as he secured a victory at first singles, 6-4, 6-4.

Robert Becker (So., Minnetonka, Minn.) dropped a third set super-breaker in a 6-4, 5-7, 7-10 match at second singles.

Both Bernard Mitambo (So., Minneapolis, Minn.) and Kyle Helgemoe (Jr., Lakeville, Minn.) pushed their opponents to first set tie-breakers at third and fourth singles, respectively. Mitambo's score was 6-7 (4-7), 4-6 and Helgemoe's score was 6-7 (1-7), 2-6.

Andrew Lutz (So., Pine City, Minn.) and Sam Teitelbaum (So., Afton, Minn.) had close first sets, losing them by a service break, at fifth and sixth singles. Lutz' score at fifth singles was 4-6, 0-6, while Teitelbaum's score at sixth singles was 5-7, 1-6.

The Pipers are now 4-3, 0-3 MIAC and have two weeks off from competition before traveling to Concordia for a 5:00 p.m. match on Saturday, March 13.
