Coming out of the doubles matches the Pipers held a 2-1 lead as they posted victories at second and third doubles.

Patrick Mitambo (So., Minneapolis, Minn.) and Kyle Helgemoe (Jr., Lakeville, Minn.) won at second, 8-5, before Andrew Lutz (So., Pine City, Minn.) and Brendan FitzPatrick (So., White Bear Lake, Minn.) gutted out a 9-8 (10-6) win at third doubles.

The Pipers and Cougars went on to split the singles matches, with Hamline winning at third, fifth, and sixth singles.

Helgemoe won at third singles, 6-2, 6-4, while Lutz won at fifth singles, 6-0, 6-3. Dan Cromwell (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.) then battled to a 7-5, 7-6 (7-1) win at sixth singles for the 5-4 team win.

The Pipers are now 7-5 overall with the non-conference win while the Cougars are 1-6 overall.
