The Pipers opened the match by sweeping the doubles matches, starting with David Croonquist (Fy., North Oaks, Minn.) and Robert Becker (So., Minnetonka, Minn.) winning 8-0 at first doubles.

Bernard Mitambo (So., Minneapolis, Minn.) and Kyle Helgemoe (Jr., Lakeville, Minn.) won 8-5 at second doubles while Dan Cromwell (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.) and Mickey Witt (Fy., Lakeville, Minn.) won at third doubles, 8-1.

Croonquist (first singles), Helgemoe (third singles), and Brendan FitzPatrick (sixth singles, So., White Bear Lake, Minn.) all won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0.

Mitambo won at second (6-0, 6-1), Sam Teitelbaum (So., Afton, Minn.) won at fourth (6-0, 6-1), and Andrew Lutz (So., Circle Pines, Minn.) won at fifth (6-1, 6-0) singles.

Hamline improves to 8-7 overall. The Pipers play at Macalester on Friday, April 23, at 6:00 p.m.
