The host Scots carried a 2-1 lead after the doubles matches. The Pipers' match win came at second doubles as Bernard Mitambo (So., Minneapolis, Minn.) and Kyle Helgemoe (Jr., Lakeville, Minn.) posted an 8-3 victory.

In singles, David Croonquist (Fy., North Oaks, Minn.) won at first singles, 6-2, 6-3. At sixth singles, Andrew Lutz (So., Circle Pines, Minn.) won, 6-4, 6-4.

Two matches came down to third-set super-breakers, but Macalester pulled out both for the match win. Mitambo lost at second singles, 7-6, 1-6, 11-13, and Sam Teitelbaum (So., Afton, Minn.) lost at fifth singles, 7-6, 3-6, 4-10.

The Pipers fall to 8-8, 0-7 MIAC while the Scots are 12-4, 4-2 MIAC. Hamline will host Saint Mary's on Sunday, April 25, at 3:00 p.m.
