Rios scores Piper goal as Oles win MIAC opener

St. Olaf scored the first two goals of the match, starting at 29:13. Their game-winner came at 54:11 in the second half.

Rios' tally came just seconds after a header by Nate Miller (Fy., Prior Lake, Minn.) went wide. His unassisted goal then went in the back of the net at 81:52.

The statistics were nearly even in the game, as Hamline had 10 shots to St. Olaf's 11. Each team had four corner kicks and each keeper made two saves.

The Pipers are now 2-3-0, 0-1-0 MIAC with the conference loss. The Oles are 3-2-0, 1-0-0 MIAC. Hamline continues MIAC on Saturday, September 18, at Bethel University. The match is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m.
