The NSC Minnesota Stars are part of the 12-team U.S. Soccer
Federation Division 2 Pro League. Each of the 12 teams will play 30
regular season games. The season will run from the second week of April
until early October, with the playoffs to be contested during the
following weeks.
The Stars train and play at the National Sports Center in Blaine,
Minnesota. Today marks the start of their inaugural training camp, and
the team begins preseason with 12 rostered players and 23 tryout
invitees, including Lukas.
"This is a great honor for Drew to be included in preseason with one
of North America's division 2 professional soccer teams." said Hamline
head coach Jon Lowery. "He is fully fit, physically capable and
determined to continue his career."
Lukas closed out his final season with his third All-MIAC nod. He
will graduate from Hamline this spring as one of the best players in
school history, holding the school record for career points (73), goals
(34), game-winning goals (10), and penalty kicks made (five).
This season Lukas tallied six goals and two assists for 14 points.
